What Beyoncé Knows about Banking from Breakup

What Beyoncé Knows About Banking from Breakup (Installment #1)

We all know the classic maxim, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” Well as we all know Lemonade was the title of Beyoncé’s 6th album and 2nd visual album. Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” album dropped on April 23, 2016.

Judging on the very title of the album there is no question that Bey, knows a thing or two about heartbreak and banking from breakup. Even though she and Jay-z never split her lyrics truly speak to what Banking from Breakup is all about. All night, one of the titled tracks on her Lemonade album opens with a powerful spoken-word introduction with Bey retelling a very moving story about her grandmother. She is basically sharing her grandmother’s recipe for Lemonade. It is really a recipe for life. Take these words in for a moment. Really let them sink in.

“Take one pint of water, add a half pound of sugar, the juice of eight lemons, the zest of half lemon. Pour the water into one, then to another several times. Strain through a clean napkin. Grandmother. The alchemist. You spun gold out of this hard life. Conjured beauty from the things left behind. Found healing where it did not live. Discovered the antidote in your own kitchen. Broke the curse with your own two hands. You past these instructions down to your daughter, who then passed them down to her daughter.”

It Runs in the Family

There is also another part in the visual movie where Jay-z’s grandmother Hattie White at her 90th Birthday Party gives a speech and says,

"I had my ups and downs, but I always find the inner strength to pull myself up. I was served lemons, but I made lemonade."

This ties in nicely with Beyoncé’s Album moniker and mantra. It is the theme of the entire album. The journey from hurt to healing. Your healing is in your hurt. Out of your hurt comes your greatest healing. Which is so ironic. The lemons for lemonade is a powerful metaphor for life and healing through life’s pains in general. It is the anthem for heartbreak.

My Breakup was my Lemonade!

My breakup was my antidote, my lemonade. It was my “remedy”. It was my rescue. I had to let the good outweigh the bad. I chose to find the good in my breakup. It wasn’t easy. But, I’m still here. I am still standing. My breakup did not take me down because I wouldn’t let it. My breakup is why I stand strong, with my head held high. My breakup has served me in the most beautiful and the most powerful ways. As difficult and as painful as it was it gave me my most beautiful rainbow. A rainbow that I get to share with you and the rest of the world.

Banking from Breakup is about making lemonade out of lemons. It is taking your breakup and turning it into the best lemonade ever! You may not be able to change your breakup, but you can change how you handle it. How you handle your breakup is your business. It’s your responsibility. No one can do your breakup for you. That’s for you to work through. Good news, Banking from Breakup is here to help. So, you don’t have to do it alone.

Your Breakup is Your Lemonade

So, if you are in a place of acceptance and you’re truly and honestly ready to move on and make your own “Lemonade”. Banking from Breakup has your back. Beyoncé may call it Lemonade, we call it Bank.

So when life deals you a breakup, bank from it. Or when life gives you lemons make lemonade. The best way to move on from a bad breakup and get over your ex is to bank from it using the Banking from Breakup Method which helps you to do just that!

Banking from Breakup is about taking the pain of your breakup, then finding the purpose in your pain and turning that into profit or as I like to say turning it into your bankable assets. Or if we take a page out of Beyoncé’s playbook, Breakup Lemonade! This is why I strongly believe that you should never waste a breakup, nor should you leave a breakup empty handed. Your breakup is what you make it. Spin that Breakup Magic.

The Lesson: When life deals you a devastating breakup, bank from it. (or make Breakup Lemonade)
