Jay-Z and Beyoncé Makes the Internet Go Apesh*t

Jay-Z and Beyoncé, hip hop’s most iconic super couple have done it again! They dropped a much-anticipated surprise joint album last night (Saturday June 16, 2018) and it didn’t disappoint. This has been a long-awaited album for the couple. It has been years in the making. Apesh*t, the first single released from their 9 song EP Everything is Love is fire.

The song lyrics are undeniable. Beyoncé doesn’t miss a beat. She is clearly a lyrical genius. They defy western art tradition. Visually the video shot at the Louvre Museum in Paris is breathtakingly stunning. The images powerful. Every frame telling a story and reaching back in history. The juxtapositions are brilliant and strong. They don’t just speak volumes, they scream volumes! No one saw this coming folks. Apart from the brief art history lesson, there are a number of strong messages and powerful lessons. So, shall we?

Breakups aren’t meant to be easy

But I also believe they are meant to teach us lessons we otherwise would not have learned had we not gone through the breakup. A breakup could either paralyze and imprison you or it can propel and empower you. We may not have had a choice with the breakup. But, we have a choice with how we handle the breakup. The choice is yours. There are no easy answers to get over a breakup and move on from an ex. I say learn the lessons and then do the unexpected!

Jay-Z and Beyoncé: Legends & Lessons

We can definitely learn a thing or two from Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Jay and Bey are no strangers to relationship drama. They've been through it and have the receipts!  They're not exempt, nor are they perfect. There's no question that they've battled their way back and that they continue to rise above it. A lot can be said about that. So, despite all they've been through they've made it work for them. This is not always the case for everyone else. Relationships end. It's how you move on that makes all the difference. That said, there are lessons we can learn from hip hop legends Jay-Z and Beyoncé. So, love them or hate them.
